A restoration project at Caerhays Estate…

Natural England part funded a project to under take restoration works on Caerhays Estate. Rothwell Historical Restoration was awarded the contract by ongoing partners, PDP Green.

The works were overseen by Nigel Thomas of Cornwall Council’s archaeologist unit.

The project was considered a great success by all involved. Local stone, lime mortars, cob repairs and reclaimed Delabole slate were used and a new oak roof installed.
